Copy an animal symbol
14 symbols + 8 combinations
Animal emoji such as ๐ฑ Cat Face and ๐ฐ Rabbit Face are individual pictorial characters. An animal text face such as สโขแดฅโขส combines several characters into a bear-like expression. Choose an emoji for a compact pictorial accent, or copy the entire text face to preserve its eyes, mouth, and outline.
Tap Copy for the original text. Paste into your profile or message, then make it your own.
Pet and mammal faces
Individual emoji faces. The names identify the animal design; their colors and drawing details come from the destination.
Birds, wildlife, and sea animals
A small selection for nature notes and animal interests. General Bird or Fish names do not specify one species across all artwork.
Complete animal text faces
Multi-character cat, bear, and bird-like faces. They are visual compositions rather than single Unicode animal characters.
Animal-interest captions
Original editable words paired with one animal. Replace the interest with something true about you.
Animal Symbols: names, Unicode, and HTML codes

Emoji and animal text faces have different copy values
๐ฑ is one Cat Face character. The face (=^๏ฝฅฯ๏ฝฅ^=) uses parentheses, punctuation, and a Greek letter to suggest a cat. Their visual purposes overlap, but they are different kinds of text.
Use the individual emoji when a short accent is enough. Choose a full kaomoji when the expression itself is part of a friendly message, and preserve both sides of its outline.
Use the character name without guessing species
Some names are specific, such as Dolphin or Penguin. Others are broad, such as Bird, Fish, or Bear Face. A renderer may choose a particular drawing, but the character name does not establish every visual detail.
If the species matters in a wildlife note, write its actual name in words. Use the emoji as an accent rather than the sole identification.
Pair an animal with a real interest
An animal-interest caption is more useful when it says what you do: cat sketches, bird notes, or crochet projects. Change sample wording before using it as your introduction.
Use a few animal characters deliberately rather than a long repeated row. For a butterfly reference or a snake character comparison, the dedicated pages provide more detailed names and distinctions.
Sources and references
Unicode 18.0 supplies individual animal character names. Text-face interpretations and caption examples are editorial visual descriptions, not official Unicode sequences or species identification.
How this collection is maintained
We separate individual animal emoji from whole text faces, show a deliberately small comparison set, and link to deeper cat, bear, butterfly, and snake collections. Character names are checked without claiming universal artwork, account-field acceptance, or a particular animal species where the name is broad.

How to use these
- Choose the exact character or combination and tap Copy. Labels and reference codes are not part of the copied text.
- Paste into a supported text field with Ctrl+V, Command+V, or the mobile Paste command. Replace any sample words with your own.
- Preview the saved text. Font differences and narrow fields can change the appearance or cause a longer combination to wrap.
Platform notes
- A message, bio, display name, and unique account handle can have different character rules. Check the exact destination field.
- Text glyphs depend on the font; emoji artwork depends on the app or operating system. Copying preserves characters, not this page's colors or drawing.
- A missing-glyph box can indicate that the needed font is unavailable. Try a simpler character or another font where the app allows it.

Quick FAQ
Are animal text faces single emoji?
No. A face such as สโขแดฅโขส combines several characters. ๐ป is a separate Bear Face emoji character. Copy the whole text face to keep its structure intact.
What is the difference between ๐ฑ and a cat kaomoji?
๐ฑ is one named Cat Face character with pictorial artwork. A cat kaomoji such as (=^๏ฝฅฯ๏ฝฅ^=) is a multi-character face built from letters and punctuation, whose spacing depends on the font.
Will Bird or Fish emoji identify an exact species?
Not reliably. Their Unicode names are general, and artwork can vary. Write the actual species name in words when identification matters.
Can I use animal symbols in a unique username?
Only if that exact field accepts them. Emoji, text faces, spaces, and punctuation can be rejected by account-handle rules even when a message or display name accepts them. Check the destination instead of assuming compatibility.
