Modern Snake emoji

One pictorial snake character. The destination chooses its colors, drawing, and pose.

Egyptian hieroglyph characters

Four separately encoded hieroglyphs. Use the reference names to keep their identities clear rather than treating them as interchangeable emoji styles.

Simple snake accents

Original short combinations with readable words. They are decorative examples, not ancient inscriptions or translated hieroglyphic text.

Snake Symbols: names, Unicode, and HTML codes

Match the character to its name before copying. HTML codes are for website source; paste the symbol itself into a bio or message.

Snake emoji and Egyptian hieroglyphs are different kinds of text

๐Ÿ is a named pictorial emoji. The four hieroglyphs belong to Egyptian Hieroglyphs and have individual identifiers. Choosing a similar-looking snake shape does not turn a hieroglyph into a modern emoji.

Use ๐Ÿ for a straightforward modern animal accent. If you choose a hieroglyph for its silhouette, keep its identity clear and avoid claiming a translation or historical message without an appropriate specialist source.

I010, I012, I013, and I014 identify separate characters

The identifiers in the official names distinguish these hieroglyphs. ๐“†™ is I014, while ๐“†— is I012. They have different code points, not a shared base character with an emoji selector.

A name or code-point table documents encoding. It does not on its own explain pronunciation, grammatical use, or every cultural interpretation. This page stays within that character-reference scope.

Preview rare hieroglyphs before saving

A destination needs a font containing Egyptian hieroglyph glyphs. A box or blank mark can indicate missing glyph support. The copied character may still be present even when the app cannot draw it.

Use ๐Ÿ or ordinary words when the rare glyph is unavailable. For a framed or more decorative layout, use Cute Snake Symbols and check every component after pasting.

Sources and references

Unicode 18.0 identifies the Snake emoji and individual Egyptian hieroglyphs. SnakeBaby authors the modern decorative examples. No Egyptological translation, pronunciation, or universal cultural meaning is asserted.

How this collection is maintained

We separate emoji from script characters, preserve each hieroglyph identifier, and calculate codes from the actual copied text. Examples are explicitly modern decorative layouts, with font limits stated rather than universal compatibility claims.

How to use these

  1. Choose the exact character or combination and tap Copy. Labels and reference codes are not part of the copied text.
  2. Paste into a supported text field with Ctrl+V, Command+V, or the mobile Paste command. Replace any sample words with your own.
  3. Preview the saved text. Font differences and narrow fields can change the appearance or cause a longer combination to wrap.

Platform notes

  • A message, bio, display name, and unique account handle can have different character rules. Check the exact destination field.
  • Text glyphs depend on the font; emoji artwork depends on the app or operating system. Copying preserves characters, not this page's colors or drawing.
  • A missing-glyph box can indicate that the needed font is unavailable. Try a simpler character or another font where the app allows it.

Quick FAQ

What is the modern snake emoji?

๐Ÿ is Snake, U+1F40D. Its drawing can vary between apps and should not be used as the only identification of an exact species.

What character is ๐“†™?

It is Egyptian Hieroglyph I014, U+13199. This reference documents its encoded identity and its visual use as an accent; that identity is not a historical translation.

Are ๐“†— and ๐“†˜ the same hieroglyph?

No. ๐“†— is Egyptian Hieroglyph I012, U+13197, and ๐“†˜ is Egyptian Hieroglyph I013, U+13198. They are separately encoded characters.

Does a snake hieroglyph have one universal decorative meaning?

No universal interpretation is assigned here. Modern decorative use depends on context, and historical linguistic or cultural meaning needs appropriate evidence beyond a Unicode character name.

Why does a snake hieroglyph show as a box?

The app or font may lack its glyph. Try a supported font where the app permits it, or use the modern ๐Ÿ accent when a rare hieroglyph is not essential.
