♡ is White Heart Suit (U+2661), an outline text heart. ♥ is Black Heart Suit (U+2665), and ❤ is Heavy Black Heart (U+2764). The white heart emoji 🤍 is a different character. Copy the shape you want, then check its appearance in the app where you paste it.
Tap Copy for the original text. Use Add to build a combination.
Heart text symbols
Choose an outline, a filled heart, or a heart-shaped ornament. A character's Unicode name identifies it; the destination font controls its appearance.
Decorated heart emoji
Arrow, ribbon, sparkle, paired, and broken-heart designs. Each card here contains one emoji character, even when its artwork shows two hearts.
Heart emoji colors
Choose a color for your message or layout. These are separate characters, not a color setting applied to ♡ or ♥. Explain important meanings in words.
Heart text and emoji presentation
Copy the complete sequence to request a text or emoji appearance. The invisible selector is preserved; a destination app can still ignore it.
Short heart combinations
Original examples for headings and messages. These contain multiple characters; replace the sample words or use Add to make your own.

Outline heart ♡ vs white heart emoji 🤍
Choose ♡ for an outline heart drawn by a text font, or 🤍 for the separate white heart emoji. ♡ is U+2661 and belongs to the playing-card suit symbols. 🤍 is U+1F90D. Copying one does not convert it to the other.
The same distinction applies to ♥ and 🖤: the heart suit U+2665 is separate from the black heart emoji U+1F5A4. Unicode names identify characters, while the app's font or emoji artwork decides what you see.
How to request a text heart or heart emoji
❤︎ is U+2764 followed by U+FE0E, a request for text style. ❤️ adds U+FE0F instead, requesting emoji style. The same selectors are listed for ♥. These invisible characters are part of the copied sequence; the table shows both code points.
A presentation request is not a color control or a guarantee. Some apps choose their own renderer or remove selectors. For an outline accent, try ♡ and preview the saved text.
Choosing heart colors without assuming a fixed meaning
Heart colors are separate Unicode characters. Blue Heart 💙, White Heart 🤍, and Pink Heart 🩷 have different code points; changing the color of text in an editor does not turn ♡ into one of these emoji.
Choose a heart that suits your message or palette, then use words to carry essential meaning. An interpretation such as affection, encouragement, or a favorite team color depends on the conversation, not just a character's name.
How to make a heart combination for a bio
Start with one heart, add your name or a short interest, and keep enough space for the words. For example, Mika ♡ ceramics and rainy walks makes the introduction readable while using the heart as an accent. Use the mixer for symbol order and spacing, then add your own words in the destination field.
This page compares the individual characters and their codes. The Cute Heart Symbols page focuses on ready-made decorative layouts, and the bio editor helps you turn a layout into an introduction.
Sources and references
Names and code points follow Unicode 18.0. The variation-sequence file specifies text and emoji presentation requests. The usage examples are written by SnakeBaby; descriptions of possible uses do not assign a universal meaning to a heart color.
How this collection is maintained
This collection distinguishes individual heart characters, explicit presentation sequences, and original text combinations. Character names are checked against Unicode data. Reference codes are calculated from each exact copied value, including invisible selectors. Rendering and acceptance depend on the font and destination field; we do not claim that every profile app accepts every heart.

How to use these
- Tap Copy for one heart, or Add to place a heart in the combination panel. Copy buttons preserve the exact character sequence.
- Add more hearts or other symbols in order, choose no separator, a space, or a new line, then select Copy all.
- Paste into your message, document, or supported profile field. Replace sample words and preview the saved result before posting.
Platform notes
- Bio, message, display-name, and account-handle fields can have different character rules. A heart accepted in a bio is not guaranteed to work in a unique username.
- An emoji heart may use different artwork on another device. A text heart depends on the font; its Unicode name does not force a particular ink color.
- If a heart shows as a box, try ♡ or ♥, choose another font where possible, or use the linked troubleshooting guide. Variation selectors request a style but cannot install a missing font.

Quick FAQ
How do I copy and paste a heart symbol?
Tap Copy beside a heart, then paste with Ctrl+V, Command+V, or the mobile Paste command. Use Add and Copy all to assemble several symbols. The copied text contains the character or sequence, not the label or Unicode code.
What is the difference between ♡ and 🤍?
♡ is White Heart Suit (U+2661), usually drawn as an outline by a text font. 🤍 is White Heart (U+1F90D), an emoji character with device-specific artwork. They are separate characters, even when both look like a pale heart.
Why is ♥ called Black Heart Suit when it looks red?
Black Heart Suit is the Unicode name of U+2665. Black describes the filled suit symbol; it does not fix the color used by a font or emoji renderer. The black heart emoji 🖤 is a separate character, U+1F5A4.
How can I request a text heart instead of a red emoji?
Copy ❤︎ or ♥︎ from the text-style group. These sequences add U+FE0E to request text presentation. ❤️ and ♥️ add U+FE0F to request emoji presentation. Apps can ignore a request; ♡ is another option for an outline text heart.
Is 💕 one character or two hearts typed together?
💕 is one Unicode character, U+1F495, named Two Hearts. Its artwork contains two hearts. By contrast, ♡ ♡ contains two heart characters with a space between them.
Does each heart color have one official meaning?
A Unicode name identifies a character such as Blue Heart or Purple Heart; it does not make every use of that color mean the same thing. Consider the conversation and add words when the intended meaning matters.
Can I use hearts in my bio or username?
Use a bio, message, or display-name field that accepts the character and preview after saving. Unique account handles may restrict symbols or emoji. Check the rules for the exact field rather than assuming all profile fields accept the same text.
